E-Book Blues

I adore my Sony reader.
However I have lots of books I'd like to read that I just cannot download here in the UK.
I've searched far and wide on the Internet but wheras most books I could download easypeasy in the US the UK are just really far behind.
Why does it seem us Brits haven't embraced new technology as warmly as other countries?
I downloaded a few books I could get in the hope that I would be able to spend quality time with my e-reader but I can't settle. I have books I am itching to read, so much I may go buy them the old fashioned way, but really isn't that defeating the object?
What can I activley do to move things along a little?
Who can I pester?
somebody surely decides which books to digitalise?

I am writing from my bed with a quilt and mug of Horlicks.
I haven't been sleeping too well lately.

One reason would be that I have been ill for the first few weeks of this year, I feel (touch wood) a bit better now though.

Another may be because I just cannot stop thinking. I can't shut up my ever whirring brain filled with thoughts and ideas and worries that crop up the moment I turn off the lights and attempt to sleep.

I turned 22 a couple of weeks ago, I wrote it on a form for the first time today. This means for real I have to be a propper adult now. A lady.

Fast approching is my 3rd anniversary with the Boyfriend. That is a long time. I would like to do something special I think.

I have a gym induction soon to try and be a grown up with the whole making an effort to be fitter. That's what grown up's do right, go to the gym?

I am off to Amsterdam in 2 weeks, I am pretty excited about exploring a new city! You must share any opinions/ reccomendations on things to do there!

College is great, I have lots of work to do, essays to write, lines to learn etc. But it really is all worth the hard work.

I have been absent from a couple of Behind Bars rehersals due to illness, I intend to ammend this. The show we are working on is truly great and I'm excited about it, I can't let it get buried under with other things going on.

I hope you haven't been bored by my rambling on. I'm goin o get back to my milky drink and call Wez for a chat.

Two Little Ducks. (my birthday)

I recieved this picture in an email this morning from my boyfriend instead of a Birthday Card. I have felt ill all morning and the weather is terrible so i am not sure people will make it alive to my birthday meal tonight. But oh well. I am another year older, Two little ducks as a twitter friend pointed out... 22.
